Red Rock Salt is created by mother nature with some divine guidance in the heart of central Utah. Our salt is the perfect blend of sodium chloride (salt) and natural minerals, sourced from what was once a ancient salt lake.

Once quarried from the earth, Red Rock Salt is minimally processed into three different products: natural-unrefined table salt, coarse salt or extra coarse salt. Salt is natural and necessary for the body. A perfect amount enhances the flavor of your food – be it a homemade sauerkraut, trout or favorite pot roast – Red Rock Salt will remind you that nature knows best.

My great grandparents, Vilhelm & Elsina Poulson were among some of the first settlers of Redmond, Utah. After observing the Southern Piute tribe source salt from the earth, Vilhelm found salt among his own land and used it to trade for other needed household necessities.

In 2002, I trademarked the name Red Rock Salt and created consumer-friendly salt products from the same area my great-grandfather used many years ago. I enjoy visiting with my customers and friends about our earth-to-table unrefined salt.
