Capt. Len’s BBQ has been a part of the local community for over 18 years. We started by creating and selling our barbecue rubs, which we still use today! 

We offer Southern Style Barbecue ranging from our Baby Back Ribs and North Carolina Pulled Pork to our Texas Brisket and side dishes, which include our award winning BBQ Beans, Coleslaw, Cajun Corn, Potato Salad and our Adult Mac & Cheese. 

The Captain created his original barbecue sauce back in 2010. He begins that process by making his own chipotle ketchup as the base for his sauce.  Capt. Len’s BBQ now produces four sauces: the Captain’s Original BBQ Sauce, Rocky Mountain BBQ Sauce, Texas Jack BBQ Sauce and our Cobra Pepper Hot Sauce.  Our sauces are available for sale from our Food Trailer and soon at retailers featuring Utah’s Own Products.

Len Eldridge
Owner

Len Eldridge (The Capt.) followed his barbecue passion by entering the first Rock & Ribs BBQ Contest in 2001.  He was hooked and has been serving up his BBQ food ever since. After successfully competing in several barbecue contests Capt. Len opened his first restaurant.  The Captain now operates a successful mobile smokehouse, Capt. Len’s BBQ Food Trailer. 
Capt. Len’s BBQ is available to cater any event or outdoor festivity – in your backyard, at the park, at the office, or up the canyon. We can work with any budget and customize our menu to meet your catering needs.
We understand that each and every event is unique and we provide several different styles of catering: 
  • Pre-order and Pick Up – BBQ without the wait.  Contact us via email, telephone or text to pre-order lunch or dinner and we’ll have it ready to go when you arrive.  Be sure to give us at least 24 hrs notice.
  • Delivery – We’re happy to deliver our BBQ anywhere in the Salt Lake City metropolitan area.  We bring your meal in disposable containers, including plate, utensils, napkins and our great sauce. Be sure to ask about our Box Lunch Options.
  • Private Food Truck Service – Capt. Len is happy to bring our mobile pit (the Beast) or our Food Truck to your celebration. We will park at your venue and serve a custom menu designed with your party and budget in mind.
  • Full Service Catering – We are happy to provide a full service experience for celebrations, large or small. The Captain will work with you to design a seasonal BBQ menu and service style that is tailored to your budget and preferences.
