My parents had small businesses in my hometown, back in my country Uruguay. We were a family business where my mom baked and cooked the food, my dad managed the business and I was there learning from them.

I came to Utah 20 years ago, started working in several different jobs always related to food and restaurants, I took the time to learn the way businesses are done in America, to learn how to make business, start having connections, learn how the banks work, how the economy works here, it took me a while but at the same time i was looking for that business that will unwrap my passion and started growing by been in the right business to me, i decided to live my passion, that’s when Crown Alfajores started to get shape.

Before that almost 10 years ago I had a new baby, my daughter Nina, she was born with Down Syndrome, and knowing that she will need a full time mom I decided to stop working until we felt she was in good shape to grow healthy and strong, so I stopped almost 7 years, she became the center of my life, she grew up strong, lots of surgeries and procedures but strong, when we decided it was time to restart my professional career, I knew what my passion was, the flour and the flavors, the magic of create edible art, and with the huge motivation Nina and all my family are, we started Crown Alfajores in 2018, since then there has been only growth for us as company and family, we are building an empire to my daughter, because she will get to an age where she will want to work and I will have Crown Alfajores for her, that’s our legacy, that’s my reason, the American dream for us to my baby.
