Riley’s Orchard & U-Pick

Farm Fresh fruit and vegetables

The Riley Family has grown delicious produce for three generations. We strive to grow high quality, safe, and delicious produce that families can enjoy throughout our great state of Utah.

At our farm in Genola customers can purchase flowers and vegetable starts right out of greenhouses where we propagate the vegetables for our u-pick garden. Here customers will find a variety of hanging baskets, ground pots, flats of flowers, and flats of vegetable starts. Plants are available during the spring season until the end of May depending on availability.

Starting in early July customers can enjoy an on-farm experience with the beginning of our u-pick season. The season starts with zucchini and cucumbers with tomatoes and other products available by late July. There is also a full produce stand onsite for those who wish to purchase their produce freshly picked. As the fall progresses, other crops ripen also including: peaches, apples, peppers, watermelon, cantaloupe, raspberries, sweet corn, winter squash, and pumpkins. All are available both for U-pick and purchase pre-picked. As this live product is continually changing, be sure to check our social media sights for updates. The u-pick season goes until the first frost of the fall, typically towards the end of October.

The Rileys’ have sold their produce in Payson for nearly 60 years. As the town has changed around us we have adapted our fruit stand to also include an ice cream, soda, and gift shop. Rileys’ Taste of Sunshine sells produce from the farm throughout the harvest season. We also carry a variety of products and food from right here in Utah! These include Beaver Creamery Ice Cream and BYU Creamery products and treats. Rileys’ Taste of Sunshine is open year round with new items, drink flavors, and shakes being added weekly.

Reviews:

Super fun place! We picked our own raspberries and had so much fun! Lots of different fruits and veggies you can pick and extremely good prices. We hit this place on our way back from Eureka and will definitely be back again. Highly recommended!” – Stephen

The name says it all. Sunshine in a cute barn! Happy place with amazing fresh fruits & veggies. Not to mention all the amazing local goodies. The people there are so friendly and willing to help you. Noelle truly out did herself!!!” – Renae, Google Review

I absolutely love this place! It has the nicest atmosphere and employees. Everything about the store is just cozy and friendly. They have a large variety of items from seasonal decorations, to farm fresh produce from local farms! Almost everything they sell is locally sourced. It’s a great place to go for a treat as well! They’ve got some wonderful ice cream, customizable sodas (The Hey Dude soda is my favorite), shakes, BYU creamery items, and more! Overall, it’s a nice good-natured place to go. I highly recommend you visit!” – Bioncleb, Google Review

Riley Family
Farmers & Owners

Things have certainly changed since Grandpa Riley returned home from World War II and started into the fruit business. Our farm has changed how it looks and what we do as we strive to stay viable and provide the community around us the products they want. While we have always stayed with our roots of growing fruit orchards, we have adapted and added what seemed to be good fits for our community.

Alan picked up the farming reins in the early 1970’s and farmed alongside his dad with them both operating their respective farms.

In 2011 Christopher graduated from Utah State University and married his best friend, Krystal. Today the three work together to manage the farm operations with the help of many other hard-working employees. Vegetables were planted in 2011 to diversify and add to the retail selection. While difficult challenges continue to arise, we are committed to growing food for our neighbors. We thank you for supporting our family!
