McMullin Orchards

Growing Delicious Quality Fruit Since 1927

McMullin Orchards takes great pride in cultural practices designed to assure the freshest and highest quality of fruit.  We grow many varieties of sweet cherries, tart cherries, balaton cherries, peaches, nectarines, pluots, pears and apples.  Harvest begins mid to late June with Bing, and Lambert sweet cherries, tart cherries are soon to follow in mid July.  Harvest for peaches, pears and nectarines follow in the middle of August.  Then continue throughout the fall with Pluots and Apples usually are done end of October.

Every box of fruit that comes from our farm has been sorted so that each box will have consistent quality throughout the box.  We also sell by the pound and mix your own boxes at our stand and farmers markets.  Sweet Cherries are sold fresh by the pound. Tart Cherries are sold during harvest fresh before they are froze, or we have many options for frozen tart Cherries usually all year long. We take great pride in our fruit and want our customers to be happy.  We love to help and answer any questions you may have as well, whether it be about our farm, canning, or anything else!

McMullin Family
4th Generation Family Farm

For the past 94 years the McMullin Family has been growing, packing and shipping fruit from the beautiful valley of central Utah.  Our Fruit Orchards began in Genola when our Great Grandfather, Rabert Wallace McMullin planted sweet cherries in 1927.  The fourth generation of our family are now growing fruit and have expanded Great Grandpa McMullin’s farm to over 900 acres in three location in Utah County: Payson, Genola, and South Shore farms near Utah Lake.

As a family owned and operated orchard we strive to take care of the land so that future generation can enjoy and work the land as generations have before.  Always innovating and trying to help the environment in the early 1970s we were one of the first commercial orchards in Utah to use drip irrigation and fan jets, to reduce the amount of water used, prevent erosion, and minimize herbicides.  Mulching orchard pruning into the soil helps reduce pollution along with adding organic material to help the soil and our trees grow.
