Lorin Farr

Founder

Farr Better Ice Cream, has a long history in Ogden. Beginning in 1895, Lorin Farr and his son Asael harvested ice from ponds in the winter and sold it throughout the summer after storing it in an insulated warehouse.

In 1920, the family incorporated the business and, in 1929, they began manufacturing ice cream. Millions of scoops and hundreds of flavors have been served at the original location, 274 21st Street.
