Imagine if your retro childhood comforts got a high level twist. Our fans call us Grandmacore or Newstalgia. Jam Wizard offers sensory maximalism with intense textures, bold superfood tastes, swicy flavor upgrades (sweet smashed with spicy) with a dash of arcane wizard fun. Jam Wizard jams, jellies, and spreads are brewed to be experimented with in the kitchen. Go beyond the Toast of Destiny! Try it with vanilla ice cream or lather up your poultry for a completely different spin. Some jam wizards will tempt fate and consume it straight from the jar. You have been warned.

Fan favorites include Utah Rocky Mountain Jam which features a unique flavor twist highlighting the Rockies with pecans. Karan Heffelfinger

Head Jam Wizard, CEO, and Founder

Head wizard Karan Heffelfinger is no mere apprentice. She is a 4th Generation Jam & Jelly Alchemist whose origin story was forged in the fires of many lands. Karan’s tale is woven through both time and geography.

Karan studied under the old world jam masters in the coal regions of Pennsylvania in the 1960s. While living there, she learned the secrets of immigrant jams and jellies developed in the old world and brought to the states.

For a time in the 1970s, she lived in the tropical realms of Panama where she learned South American culinary arts using Calafate, rhubarb, coconut, dragon fruit, and red currants. She leveled up her knowledge developing jams with rich flavors and exceptional nutritional qualities. Most recently, she lived in the arid plains of West Texas near Fort Stockton. This land is known for their flavorful watermelon and cantaloupe jams and jellies.

Her magical credentials include Texas A&M University Cooperative Extension as well as Family and Consumer Sciences at the High School level. Her scrolls of wisdom include Associate, Bachelor and Masters degrees. Interestingly, she is a graduate of the Wilson Cake Decorating School. Jam magic runs in her veins.
