Startup Candy Co

The oldest candy company in Utah!

We love bringing smiles to everyone’s faces, sharing our delicious and colorful candy! We love when we get visitors in the candy shop who have memories of growing up with our candy at holidays and as family traditions. From our unique jumbo pops to our nostalgic clear toy candy and our classic hard candy drops, we have been making these same recipes for over a hundred years. We do things by hand, the old-fashioned way! There is so much history in our story and in our products, that is what makes us different!

Owner/Operators

Startup Candy was the first candy company to exists in Utah. It was started by the Startup Family who migrated from Europe. The Startup family passed the business along through the family for generations, until Jon Startup decided to retire in 2018 and sold the company to the owners of Rockwell Ice Cream Co. Rockwell was passionate about all the Startup Family had done to create their timeless candy and thought it was a perfect complement to their ice cream business. The rest is history!
