Sugar and Spurs Bakery, S&S, is a local cottage bakery that was founded on the belief that food can taste delicious and still contain minimal and healthy ingredients. Our goal is to create long fermented sourdough that offers so many health benefits, as well as a gut friendly choice. In order to support this belief we take pride in sourcing our ingredients with locally owned businesses and using minimal products to create our delicious sourdough and pastries. Our fresh sourdough and pastries are a pantry staple for many households in Utah. A staple that understands the importance of providing families with a food choice that is not only nourishing for your body but tastes delicious! In an effort to provide a healthy, and minimal ingredient product we strive to create baked goods from scratch while listening to our consumers feedback as well as creative suggestions throughout Tooele County.

My name Is Melissa: Owner and Founder of Sugar and Spurs Bakery, a cottage bakery located in Tooele, UT. My whole life I have enjoyed cooking and baking for friends and family. From 2016 to 2024, I had a fulfilling career being a First Responder in San Diego, CA. I retired from my career In 2024, and relocated with my family to Utah. Since retirement, I have had the exciting opportunity to pursue my lifelong passion and run a cottage bakery. In June 2024, I was officially licensed to run a cottage bakery in the state of Utah. Serving others and creating a positive impact in the community Is and will always be my purpose. I currently offer porch pickups, and shipping where I create fresh sourdough breads, desserts, and pastries for the community. Creating Sugar and Spurs Bakery Is not only a way to share my piece of happiness with others but to bring healthier and quality Ingredients Into others lives while bringing the community together. -Melissa Geyer
