After losing my house and everything during the housing crash of 2008-2009 in California, I was faced with unemployment on a level I have never experienced. Working for a global company for 20 years, I went from owning a house to going to a food bank. I eventually left Los Angeles and traveled back home to Bakerfield to live with my parents. After searching more for employment with no luck, I looked at my Father’s recipes from his catering days. There I found the few recipes that got me started in the salsa business in 2012. The Garlic salsa, Ranchera salsa and the Santa Maria seasoning.
From these 3 original recipes, I have changed them and developed our other products we have today. During this time, my Mother was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease and I was blessed with caring for her during her illness up to her final days. From this point I remained in California until July 2023 when I relocated the business from California to Utah. Here is where Brother Ray’s calls home now. Now we have customers in Utah AND California that we service and are looking to grow and expand into Idaho, Wyoming, Colorado and more.
